Easy Guacamole
 

Ingredients:
8 ripe avacados
1 Tbsp. lime juice, from fresh lime
1 tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. ground cumin
¼ tsp celery seed (optional)
1 tsp. onion powder
½ tsp. Sea Salt

Directions:
Mash flesh of avacados, leaving some chunky bits to add texture. Combine remaining ingredients. Serve on a bed of organic mixed greens with flax chips or cut veggies.

The “good” fat in avocado helps to lower cholesterol levels. Avacado is also full of Vitamin E, which is wonderful for the skin.

Rutabaga Casserole
 

Ingredients:
4 rutabagas
4 carrots
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup milk (optional)

Directions:
Peel rutabagas and cut into large cubes. Place in cold salted water, and bring to a boil. When fork tender, drain.

Mash rutabagas with grated carrots, sugar, and butter.

Place in oven at low temperature to keep warm. Cover so that the dish will not dry out. If it does, stir in a little milk.

This high fibre recipe is good for colon health. The fibre will also provide the probiotics with a good source of food to help them grow and multiply.

Alts are made with zucchini wraps.
Flaxnaise:
¼ cup golden flaxseeds
1 cup filtered water
2 tsp. ground mustard powder
¼ cup lemon juice
1 Tbsp. honey
½ tsp. sea salt

Filling:
2 avacados, sliced
1 cup alfalfa sprout
2 cups mixed greens
2 tomates, sliced
Seasoning to taste

Prepare filling ingredients. To make flaxnaise, grind flaxseeds, blend the rest of the ingredients in a blender. Texture should be smooth and not a jelly texture. Add more filtered water to prevent thickening. Fill wraps with filling and drizzle with flaxnaise. Serve wraps as a light meal or quick snack.

Avocados have good anti-inflammatory effects and have been shown to reduce also protect cartilage in osteoarthritis.

Clean Green Sweep
 

Ingredients:
2 bananas, peeled and frozen
2 cups fresh pineapple
1 cup green chard
2 cups green grapes
1 smal cucumber, chopped
Crushed ice
1 scoop of your favourite Fibre
4 packets of green tea

Peel and freeze bananas the night before. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth and creamy. Serve in a tall glass with a straw.

Green smooties are excellent meal choices because they provide carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and chlorophyll. Favourite nutritious powders can be added for cleansing and extra nutrition.
